About The Position

This position involves supporting the high school athletic programs by coordinating schedules, managing coach hiring, arranging transportation, supervising home competitions, and assisting with the ASB athletic budget. The coordinator will work closely with the District Athletic Director and assistant principals to ensure the smooth operation of athletic activities during the fall season.

Requirements

Possess a current First Aid Card/CPR Card or complete a district approved athletic training/sports medicine course equivalent to the Red Cross first aid training or be enrolled in that type of class.
A Washington State Patrol Criminal History Information Form, required by RCW 43.43.830, be on file in the Athletic Office.
High school graduate and at least 21 years of age.
SPI Moral Character Supplement Form 4020b completed and on file.
Annually attend a blood-bourne pathogens training.
Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this job.

Nice To Haves

Coaching experience at High School level preferred.
Certificated personnel preferred.

Responsibilities

Work with the District Athletic Director to support the high school athletic programs.
Coordinate high school level athletic schedules and competition schedules.
Manage the hiring of coaches for the season.
Arrange transportation of athletes.
Provide site supervision of home competitions.
Work with the assistant principal to manage the ASB athletic budget for all sports.
Communicate and support the coaches.
Aid in providing needed personnel for home athletic events including scorekeepers, officials, etc.
Work with the district maintenance department and coaches to ensure proper prep work is completed for fields and courts prior to the start of each sport season.
Other duties as assigned.
