About The Position

The Laurel School District is seeking a High School Assistant Speech, Drama, Debate Coach for an extra-curricular position. The stipend for this role is $4,368.00. All coaches must be certified under the MHSA Coaching Education Program, and failure to maintain this certification will result in non-renewal of the contract. Prior to the first day of employment, candidates must complete fingerprinting, background checks, and other district requirements.

Requirements

• MHSA Coaching Education Program certification.
• Complete application including all questions answered and job history.
• At least two references, one of which must be from a supervisor.
• Resume.
• Cover letter.
• Copy of unofficial transcript(s).
• Verification of military service if applying for veteran's preference.
• Background check and approval from the Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities

• Coach speech, drama, and debate for high school students.
• Obtain and maintain MHSA Coaching Education Program certification.
• Complete all district requirements including fingerprints and background checks prior to employment.
• Ensure application is complete before the job closing deadline.
