About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Speech and Debate After School Instructor to lead a program for 6th-8th grade students. This role involves teaching the fundamentals of speech and debate in an after-school setting. The program will run on Tuesdays from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM at a site in Springfield, VA. The compensation is $55 per hour of class.

Requirements

• Experience in speech and/or debate (competitive or coaching).
• Ability to engage and manage middle school students (grades 6-8).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to work on Tuesdays from 2:45 PM to 3:30 PM.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching or coaching after-school programs.
• Knowledge of curriculum development for speech and debate.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct students in speech and debate techniques.
