About The Position

Great Hearts Academies is a growing network of 49 public, open-enrollment, tuition-free classical schools. We are seeking passionate, life-long learners to join our faculty and shape students' hearts and minds. Our mission is to provide students with a high-quality, classical liberal arts education, aiming to develop intellectually and morally sound individuals. Fine Arts are integral to our core curriculum, with all students studying music, drama, poetry, and studio art. Our drama coursework balances performance with arts theory, history, and appreciation, taught by a faculty of professional artists and performers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
• US Work Authorization is required.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
