About The Position

The High Lift Operator operates a hi-lift forklift to gather cases of beef and pork throughout a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from -10° to 30°F. The operator pulls down and puts away pallets in the warehouse rack system and may remove plastic wrap before depositing pallets. The role involves standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching. A handheld scanner is used to track products as they are loaded, unloaded, and moved around the facility. Other duties may be assigned by management.

Requirements

At least 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience through a single employer within the last 5 years; experience must be listed on the application.
Willingness to frequently lift, push, pull, or carry cases weighing up to 70 pounds and occasionally handle cases up to 90 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Full range of motion in the arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
Ability to stand for extended periods with a sense of balance.
Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse with temperatures ranging from -10° to 30°F.
Must pass a post-offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Operate a hi-lift forklift to gather product and move pallets in the refrigerated warehouse.
Pull down and put away pallets in the warehouse rack system.
Remove plastic wrap from pallets when directed before depositing them.
Use a handheld scanner to track products as they are loaded, unloaded, and moved around the facility.
Work at a fast pace and perform assigned duties during the shift.
Follow Tyson policies and safety guidelines.
Cross-train and move to other areas as needed.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
