Checker Opr B shift OVERNIGHTS (Edwardsville)
About The Position
The Checker Opr B removes pallets from trailers using a forklift and breaks down and stacks cases while receiving. The role involves verifying the correct product, date, and quantity. Work takes place in a cooler/freezer warehouse, with temperatures ranging from -10°F to 32°F, and PPE is provided. Team members may cross-train and be moved to other areas as needed. Growth opportunities are available as the company grows. The role requires working 12-hour shifts, 3.5 days per week. The listed B-shift schedule is Wednesday, 6 p.m.–12 a.m., and Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, 6 p.m.–6 a.m. Shift availability is determined by business needs at the time of offer. Starting pay is $25.45 per hour, with a $1.50 attendance incentive and a $0.50 shift premium. Relocation assistance is not available. Prior Tyson team members are not being considered at this time.
Requirements
- At least one year of forklift and warehouse experience through a single employer within the last five years; experience must be listed on the application.
- Frequently lift, push, pull, or carry cases up to 90 pounds and occasionally up to 110 pounds.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stretch, and climb.
- Be able and willing to stand for 12 hours per day on hard floors in a cold environment ranging from -10°F to 30°F.
- Be able and willing to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
