About The Position

Radiance Technologies is seeking a technical intern to support Department of Defense programs involving the research, development, risk reduction, and testing of high-energy lasers. The work spans hardware integration, testing, modeling, and software development. The intern will work with the team to conduct tests and implement developmental hardware.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Optics, Physics, or Engineering.
• Have a minimum 3.5 GPA; the GPA must be listed on the resume to be considered.
• Be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
• Selected applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Demonstrate self-starting ability, excellent teamwork skills, and flexibility.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, Solidworks, LabView, and other engineering tools.
• Understanding of system assembly and alignment.
• Laboratory, testing, and design experience gained through classes or outside projects.
