About The Position
ComForCare is hiring certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) or Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) for consistent, part-time cases in Queens. The team matches aides with clients based on their professional experience and personal fit, and offers responsive communication and support. The role may suit someone seeking work alongside existing employment, classes, or personal commitments. Aides provide hands-on care and companionship tailored to each client’s needs. The hiring process includes submitting an application, a call from the office by the next business day, an in-person interview with required documents, orientation, and completion of required screenings and competencies before starting a case.
Requirements
- Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification.
- Full Physical Report and drug screening completed within the past 12 months.
- Two professional reference letters dated within the past three years.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Empathy, reliability, and compassion.
- Pass all required screenings and competencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide dressing, grooming, and hygiene assistance.
- Assist clients with ambulation around the house.
- Encourage exercise and fluid intake.
- Perform light housekeeping.
- Prepare meals.
- Run errands.
- Provide transportation to appointments.
- Offer companionship and conversation.
