About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to support clients in their homes in Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of life while building connections and providing companionship. The team offers caregiver support from an RN Supervisor, training, and help matching caregivers with clients. The role may include occasional transportation of clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed. Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
• Strong communication skills and a caring, empathetic nature.
• Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus but is not necessary.
• Nursing students seeking patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, or walking.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
• Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
• Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Show dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
