About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to support clients in their homes across Norfolk and Suffolk Counties and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients maintain their dignity, comfort, safety, and quality of life while building personal connections and providing companionship. An RN Supervisor provides support in the field, and the agency offers training, resources, and assistance matching caregivers with clients. The role may include occasional transportation to appointments or errands, with mileage reimbursement. Requirements
- Proficiency in English.
- Current CNA or HHA certification, or caregiving experience.
- Strong communication skills and a caring nature.
- Ability to follow a care plan and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass background checks.
- Nursing students seeking patient care experience are considered.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is a plus, but not required.
- Eagerness to learn and motivation to provide excellent care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, light exercise, and walking.
- Prepare and serve meals.
- Provide medication reminders; training is provided.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in clients’ homes.
- Occasionally transport clients to appointments or errands; mileage is reimbursed.
- Follow care plans and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Demonstrate dedication to clients and respect for the agency’s team.
