About The Position

Right at Home Des Moines is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our growing team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and companionship services that help seniors and adults with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable vehicle with proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Dependable, professional, and compassionate demeanor
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional care and supporting client independence

Nice To Haves

  • Previous caregiving experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidates

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
  • Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Provide medication reminders and support with daily routines
  • Perform delegated care tasks as directed
  • Offer companionship and meaningful engagement activities
  • Accompany or transport clients to appointments, errands, and community activities
  • Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all agency policies and procedures
