This SkillBridge opportunity is designed for military aviators to transition their skills into a career as a Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) pilot with Air Methods. The program combines ground instruction, training at FlightSafety International (FSI), and practical experience at an operational base to prepare participants for civilian HEMS pilot roles. The training focuses on Federal Aviation Regulations, company operating procedures, aircraft systems, operational risk assessment, and crew coordination. Upon successful completion of training and evaluations, participants will be prepared to qualify as a civilian HEMS pilot.
