About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locums Tenens position in Celina, OH. This role involves providing clinical outpatient coverage from September 1, 2026, to January 18, 2027. The physician will see an average of 13 outpatient and 2 inpatient cases daily, with a case mix of 60% Hematology and 40% Oncology. The position is at a Level II Trauma Center utilizing the EPIC EMR system. The physician will be responsible for patient evaluations, interpreting tests, prescribing treatment, and participating in tumor boards. Chemotherapy will be administered by a nurse oncologist.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Active OH license
- BLS certification
- Clean background required
- Availability required (Mon–Wed, 8a-5p from Sep 1, 2026 to Jan 18, 2027)
- Hospital Privileges Required (credentialing for Celina and St. Rita's)
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations for hematology/oncology outpatients.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies.
- Prescribe and manage treatment plans, including chemotherapy (administered by nurse oncologist).
- Participate in tumor board discussions.
- Provide outpatient coverage Monday through Wednesday from 8 AM to 5 PM.
