About The Position

We are seeking a Hematology & Oncology Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Santa Cruz, CA. This role involves providing clinical care in an ambulatory setting, focusing on Hematology & Oncology. The physician will manage an average daily patient volume of 13-18 patients, utilizing the Solari Infusion Center for treatments and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including nurse navigators, social workers, and other specialists. Responsibilities include patient consultations, management of hematologic and oncologic conditions, and participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary rounds.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology (Board Eligible considered)
• Active California License (CA)
• Active DEA Certification
• Completion of accredited post-graduate training program
• Clean malpractice/background

Nice To Haves

• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide expert hematology and oncology care to patients in outpatient clinic setting.
• Utilize the co-located Solari Infusion Center for chemotherapy and infusion therapy delivery.
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, social workers, and multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient journey.
• Participate in weekly tumor boards and daily multidisciplinary rounds.
• Manage a patient volume of 13-18 patients per day.
