Join a rapidly growing oncology program led by Dr. Robert McWilliams, Deputy Director of the OSF Cancer Institute, who is driving the expansion of cutting-edge cancer care, subspecialty programs, and clinical trials. Dr. McWilliams played a key role in redesigning the medical oncology care model at Mayo Clinic and will lead the expansion of the medical oncology program at OSF. He has authored more than 180 publications, and has served numerous roles across the globe, including serving on the Pancreas Cancer Task Force and the GI Cancers Steering Committee of the National Cancer Institute. You will also have the ability to work alongside Dr. Jun Zhang, Vice President of Oncology Research at OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute, a nationally recognized lung cancer researcher and clinical trials leader with more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and extensive expertise in translating breakthrough discoveries from the lab to patient care. This position allows you to grow and specialize in one or two diseases while building a practice in an expanding program. Over the next 4-5 years, we plan to grow to 25 faculty members with a highly subspecialized focus, ensuring that every patient has access to expert care. We are committed to establishing over 100 active clinical trials, including Phase 1, 2, and 3 studies, with direct support from Dr. Michael Caligiuri. Work closely with UICOMP with potential for an academic appointment and leadership. OSF is spearheading our own expert-driven model, ensuring a multi-organ, expert-based approach to oncology care.
