About The Position

The START Center for Cancer Care, a physician-led private oncology practice serving San Antonio and surrounding communities for more than 40 years, is hiring a Hematologist Oncologist for its Medical Center and Stone Oak locations. Experienced physicians and fellows are encouraged to apply; the ideal candidate has three years of post-fellowship experience, and 2026 fellows are also encouraged to apply. The practice provides access to clinical trials, full ancillary support, competitive compensation with no cap on earning potential, and a clear partnership track. Physicians can enroll patients in clinical trials and participate in or present research at conferences. The physician-led and managed organization emphasizes clinical autonomy, quality patient care, work-life balance, and professional development. The START Center provides cancer care through multiple convenient San Antonio locations and operates Early Phase Research Sites in South Texas. Its treatment capabilities include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, integrative therapies, and genetic testing of tumors.
