About The Position

The START Center for Cancer Care is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its hematology and oncology team in San Antonio, Texas. The provider will work alongside experienced physicians as a hands-on clinical partner, evaluating patients, helping navigate treatment needs, and responding to issues that arise throughout care. The role involves work in both clinic and hospital settings and offers opportunities to deepen oncology expertise while contributing to patient care and clinical decisions. The START Center for Cancer Care is a multidisciplinary oncology practice with multiple locations throughout San Antonio and Early Phase Research Sites across South Texas. Its services include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and tumor genetic testing. The practice emphasizes individualized treatment and compassionate, respectful support throughout the cancer journey. It partners with OneOncology, a physician-led, data-driven, technology-enabled network supporting collaboration, clinical research, and coordinated specialty care.

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Board certification as NP-C or PA-C.
Hematology/oncology experience as an RN or APP is preferred.
Fluency in spoken Spanish is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

Experienced APPs are preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
