About The Position

The Helper completes basic physical labor tasks on large commercial mechanical and plumbing construction sites. The role supports mechanics and construction crews with cleanup, material handling, equipment operation, and following construction plans and instructions. The Helper also learns applicable code requirements and helps maintain a safe and secure work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of construction experience.
• Ability to communicate on all levels.
• Adequate and reliable transportation to the jobsite daily.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Plumbing and mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform general construction cleanup.
• Assist with material distribution.
• Assist mechanics with HVAC and plumbing installation.
• Learn code requirements.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment and attend safety meetings.
• Load and unload building materials used in construction.
• Operate or tend equipment and machines used on the job.
• Follow construction plans and instructions.
