About The Position

Hole in the Wall Chester Valley is hiring a full-time Helper / Drywall Apprentice to start a trade career with no drywall experience required. The company provides on-the-job training alongside experienced hangers and painters on real repair jobs. The role involves helping with drywall repair and painting work in residential homes across Chester County, including the West Chester and Exton areas. Work is physical and often involves dust, ladders, lifting, and moving between rooms. The company emphasizes doing the job right, leaving homes better than they were found, and treating customers and teammates with respect. Its quality standard is the 4Cs: communicate, cover, clean, and complete. The schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Employees ride or drive with the crew in a company vehicle while working. Pay is $17–$20 per hour, based on skill and growth. The company provides training, tools on the job, a company vehicle while working, health insurance, a 401(k), and PTO/paid holidays.

Requirements

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to meet the crew or pick up the company vehicle.
Ability to lift and carry materials, work on ladders, and handle a physical trade job.
Ready to learn, follow directions, and arrive on time.
No drywall experience is required; training is provided.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on work background, such as warehouse, landscaping, construction, manufacturing, or similar work.
Basic familiarity with tools.

Responsibilities

Help load, unload, and stage materials and tools at each job.
Cover floors and furniture and keep the job site clean while the crew works.
Assist drywall hangers and painters by holding board, fetching supplies, mixing mud, sanding, and hauling debris.
Learn measuring, cutting, hanging, patching, and basic paint preparation on the job.
Follow the lead worker’s direction, ask questions when unsure, and leave each room covered, clean, and complete.
Communicate clearly with the crew and office about needs and completed work.
