Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and applications
  • Working knowledge of computer networking, server to workstation topologies, and connectivity issues
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work on multiple issues with appropriate supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail is a must
  • Strong sense of urgency, solid sense of ownership, and team player
  • Self-motivated (proactive) and able to work independently
  • 1 year of hands-on technical experience
  • Able to successfully pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. This means: Candidates must already possess valid U.S. work authorization that permits employment with any employer. We are unable to sponsor employment visas (such as H-1B, O-1, etc.) or assume responsibility for transferring existing sponsorships at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Any knowledge of Linux is a plus: configuring network, checking IP addresses, basic commands, Samba, Cups, Apache, SSH
  • A+, Network+, MCP preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and networking problems in a Windows / Linux environment
  • Troubleshoot, identify, research, and resolve technical problems
  • Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support
  • Document, track, and monitor the status of a problem to ensure a timely resolution via ticketing system
  • Verify with the end users that problems are resolved
  • Escalate unresolved end-user problems to appropriate tier
  • Install and configure workstation software and printers
  • Provide on-call support on one Saturday a month
