About The Position

The Help Desk Specialist role at Brightview Senior Living provides a unique opportunity to work alongside a highly specialized IT team at our Home Office. This team plays a critical role in delivering reliable technical support and strategic technology solutions that enable the daily operations of approximately 49 communities and over 6,400 employees across the organization. This role is in a flexible, hybrid/remote office environment in Baltimore, MD.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Experience working in a professional office environment
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Handle difficult situations and confront issues when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills via telephone, email and in person.
  • Desire and ability to provide exemplary customer service.
  • 1-3 years’ experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office, Windows 10, and related software.

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree (BS) in Computer related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to Brightview Senior Living users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by-step solutions in a Help Desk environment.
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide one-on-one end user training as needed.
  • Assist Network Administrators.
  • Troubleshoot network and computer issues.
  • Pass more complex end-user problems on to Network Administrators.
  • Occasionally travel to sites to troubleshoot and/or install new systems.
  • Document, track and monitor problems by utilizing a help desk tracking system daily.
  • Assist with the home office phone system and mobile devices.
  • Assist with basic network administration.
  • Test and install new software and software patches.
  • Provide support and repair for network printers, copiers and scanners.
  • Configure workstations and install specialized software applications.
  • Teach new user orientation to associates who join the team.
  • May be required to travel occasionally to portfolio of communities and properties in the Mid-Atlantic and New England states to trouble shoot or install new systems.
