In-Person Hebrew Tutor (Ages 3–14) — Mid City (Part Time)

About The Position

Franklin Educational Services offers personalized, one-on-one academic support and executive functioning coaching tailored for students with different learning styles, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, and anxiety. We emphasize building strong relationships to help students develop confidence, independence, and achieve lasting academic success. We are hiring warm, reliable in-person Hebrew tutors to work 1:1 with children ages 3–11 in West Los Angeles. Sessions vary by family needs (after school, weekends, and occasional daytime), offering flexible scheduling and meaningful, relationship-based work. Ideal candidates are native Hebrew speakers with experience working with children. Experience supporting neurodivergent learners is a plus, but not required. Ideal candidate availability includes: Mondays between 4:30–6:00 PM & Thursdays at 4:15 or 5:00 PM Future Candidates will be considered for our 1:1 Summer Camp.

Requirements

  • Native Hebrew speakers
  • Experience working with children
  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently completing a degree with relevant experience)
  • Reliable transportation for in-person sessions
  • Able to travel locally for in-home sessions in the Mid City
  • Warm, patient, energetic, and excellent at building rapport with young children
  • Comfortable providing structure (clear expectations, routines, visual supports, etc.)
  • Dependable and organized with strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting neurodivergent learners
  • Special education experience (classroom, paraeducator, RSP, Ed Specialist, etc.)
  • Experience with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or behavior support
  • Credentials/certifications (CA credential, RBT, BCaBA/BCBA, reading intervention training, OG-based training, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 tutoring for early learners in areas like: Tutor/Teach Hebrew to students
  • Pre-literacy and reading foundations (phonemic awareness, decoding, comprehension)
  • Early math skills and number sense
  • Handwriting/fine-motor support when needed
  • Study habits and early executive functioning (routine, attention, transitions)
  • Social Communication & Academic Enrichment
  • Executive Function & Interest-Based Learning
  • Support social-emotional growth alongside academics (confidence, frustration tolerance, flexibility)
  • Maintain brief session notes and progress updates
  • Communicate professionally with parents/guardians and the Franklin team
