About The Position

SPATCO is seeking an energetic Heavy Maintenance Crew Member to work in its Heavy Maintenance Division. The role involves multiple aspects of the petroleum industry, including installing sumps and retrofit kits, entry fittings and piping, and setting dispensers and pumping units. The work also includes related concrete, electrical and environmental cleanup tasks, as well as disposing of old equipment. The position requires travel to job sites, which may involve overnight stays, and work outdoors in all types of weather.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift 75–100 lbs when necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and work well with others.
Strong work ethic.
Reliable employee.
Detail oriented.
Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the petroleum industry and familiarity with petroleum products.
Installer certifications in the product line.
Equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

Use heavy equipment to dig ditches and manually install equipment.
Perform concrete work, including framing, pouring, mixing and finishing.
Travel to job sites, potentially staying overnight.
Maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers and subcontractors to support timely delivery of supplies and materials and completion of subcontractor work.
Follow safe work practices at all times.
Maintain safe housekeeping practices, including cleaning up job sites at the end of each day.
Follow company procedures.
Keep the company vehicle clean and maintained.
