About The Position

Individuals in this position safely and efficiently perform a variety of manufacturing tasks involved in producing products. Work includes loading products, monitoring and manipulating materials at various processing stages, filling containers of various sizes, and preparing products for shipment. This seasonal position is based in Yuma, Arizona, and may involve working in a fast-paced, shifting environment and a cold work area at 37 degrees. Employees must remain flexible to accommodate changing business conditions, work requirements, and scheduling needs. Requirements

• No formal education is required.
• Ability to perform physical activities requiring considerable use of the arms and legs and movement of the whole body.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to frequently lift 20–30 pounds.
• Ability to bend and stoop frequently.
• Ability to work in a cold environment of 37 degrees.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, shifting work environment and remain flexible to changing business conditions, work requirements, and scheduling needs.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Previous experience in food manufacturing.
• Spanish bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items from machines and conveyors.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
• Observe equipment operations, detect malfunctions, and notify supervisors or operators of malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Immediately notify a supervisor of process deviations from specifications or product contamination.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Work overtime as required.
• Comply with company policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
