About The Position

Corthell Transportation is a family-owned, long-haul trucking company specializing in heavy-haul and over-dimensional freight that requires stretch equipment. The company is seeking experienced drivers to haul oversize, overweight, and long-stretch freight. Equipment is configured for loads from legal weight to more than 100,000 pounds, using trailers ranging from 15 to 55 feet and beyond. The company also operates long-haul winch trucks and welcomes applicants with winch-truck experience.

The role is over the road. Drivers may live anywhere in the continental United States, with home time every three to four weeks. Equipment includes 2021 Peterbilt trucks, new Western Star winch trucks, and well-maintained RGN and stretch trailers.

Requirements

• Class A CDL.
• At least 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• At least 2 years of multi-axle experience.
• For the winch-truck job, 2 years of winch-truck or oilfield experience.

Nice To Haves

• TWIC card (preferred).
• Experience with stretch trailers and multi-axle step and RGN trailers.
• Machine operating experience for loading and unloading.
• Knowledge of state weight allowances.
• Knowledge of state laws for oversize loads and pilot-car requirements by state.
• Winch-truck experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive long-haul routes transporting heavy-haul, oversize, overweight, and over-dimensional freight.
• Operate specialized stretch equipment and multi-axle trailers to transport loads of varying sizes and weights.
• For the winch-truck role, operate long-haul winch trucks.

Benefits

• Annual salary of $95,000 to $105,000; the posting says drivers may make over $100,000 depending on experience.
• $1,500 in reimbursable expenses for travel to orientation, including flights, gas, and motels.
