About The Position

Sims Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Heavy Haul/Over Dimensional Open Deck Logistics Specialist to support the logistics process from quote through delivery. The role communicates and coordinates with customers and carriers and contributes to growing the Heavy Haul and Over-Dimension division and its revenue. The position requires experience working with open-deck freight; Heavy Haul/Over-Dimensional experience is preferred. Requirements

At least 2 years of current experience arranging Heavy Haul/Over-Dimension loads.
Experience working with open-deck freight.
Strong communication, decision-making, time-management, presentation, sales, and negotiation skills.
Problem-solving ability and ability to research solutions to difficult issues.
Excellent organizational skills.
Proficient computer skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once.
Ability to work autonomously and in team environments, while supporting the overall team and delivering results.

Responsibilities

Drive growth of the Heavy Haul and Over-Dimension division and revenue.
Work with Heavy Haul and Over-Dimensional loads, including related operations, processes, and systems.
Multitask and prioritize shipments and responsibilities.
Obtain information and data regarding carrier payments.
Handle carrier calls and emails.
Set carrier invoices for payment and maintain carrier balance sheets.
Research and resolve carrier payment discrepancies and issues.
Post available loads and find trucks through Sims Global's carrier network to haul customer loads.
Negotiate rates with customers and carriers.
Follow up professionally and coordinate between customers and carriers.
