About The Position

Heavy Equipment Technician (Shop & Field) REIC Rentals - Williston, ND Earn great pay, work on real equipment, and take pride in keeping machines running. REIC Rentals is hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician to support both shop repairs and field service work. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanics who enjoy diagnosing problems, working on a wide variety of equipment, and getting machines back in the field where they belong. If you have experience working on diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment, and enjoy both shop work and field troubleshooting, we want to talk to you. What You'll Work On Our technicians maintain and repair a wide range of industrial and heavy equipment, including: Diesel-powered heavy equipment Generators and power systems Heating and cooling equipment Construction and industrial machinery Equipment weighing 10,000+ lbs You'll perform both in-shop repairs and field service calls, helping keep our customers operating safely and efficiently. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment turnarounds Inspect equipment returning from rental for damage or service needs Respond to field service calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment on job sites Identify and order parts needed for repairs Track labor, parts, and service records accurately Evaluate repair cost vs equipment value Maintain a safe, organized work environment Work with a team of skilled technicians in a fast-paced shop What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate will: Have 3+ years of experience working on diesel or heavy equipment Be comfortable servicing equipment powered by both diesel and gasoline engines, and temporary climate control equipment (heating, generators and light towers) Have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Understand hydraulics, engines, and heavy equipment systems Have an eye for safety and take pride in quality work Enjoy working independently in the field and as part of a shop team Be comfortable working on equipment over 10,000 lbs Have a clean driving record (MVR verified) CDL is a plus Be 21 years of age or older Why Technicians Choose REIC Rentals We know great technicians have options, so we offer a strong compensation and benefits package: ✔ Competitive pay + overtime opportunities ✔ Company service truck and mobile phone for field work ✔ Health, Dental, and Vision insurance for employees and families ✔ Company-paid life insurance and additional voluntary coverage options (accident, hospital, critical illness) ✔ 401(k) with company match after 60 days ✔ Generous PTO + paid holidays ✔ Tuition reimbursement and training opportunities ✔ Relocation assistance for qualified candidates ✔ Work with modern equipment in a growing company Schedule Full-Time Position Typical schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Overtime, emergency service calls, and rotating on-call schedules may be required depending on workload. Requirements
