About The Position

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician at its rental facility in Youngsville, North Carolina. The technician will maintain and repair a variety of customer- and company-owned heavy equipment, machinery, aerial lifts, and tools, with the opportunity to work on the company's newest fleet. The role uses EquipmentShare's technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues using data from many makes and models. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Overtime pay is offered after 40 hours, and the role is subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation. Year-round OEM training is provided. Employment is contingent on passing a background check, and this safety-sensitive position requires passing a 10-panel drug screen.

Requirements

Own tools applicable to the position.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal and written communication skills.
High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

Trade school certificate.
Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

Practice safe job practices while repairing equipment.
Use laptops and tablets comfortably to support work.
Maintain and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment and tools, using independent judgment.
Create, assign, and monitor work orders; track machine service intervals; order parts; and use available data to diagnose issues and identify corrective actions.
Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
Complete paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed in work orders accurately and on time each day.
Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
