About The Position
Engel Excavating is a growing civil construction contractor performing earthwork, mass grading, demolition, and wet utilities throughout Wisconsin and the UP (Michigan). We are seeking talented, experienced operators to join our team! We are a union signatory contractor based out of Oshkosh, WI.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Considerable knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles and the ability to operate machinery in various conditions
- Basic understanding of grades and construction drawings
- Understand and follow site safety requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
- Ability to work outdoors and travel 5 days per week (home on weekends)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, dozers, and loaders on various site work projects
- Earthwork, mass grading, underground wet utilities
- Daily machine inspections and basic maintenance
- Report directly to foremen and work with crews to complete projects safely
