II, Heavy Equipment Operator Landfill

About The Position

Operates a wide variety of heavy equipment vehicles to spread and compact construction demolition materials, soil remediation materials, and commercial and residential waste at post-collection facilities and/or particular job sites. Works closely with other team members and follows safety protocols to ensure efficient project completion while minimizing risks. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring strict compliance with safety rules and protocols. The successful candidate may be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment screening, post-incident evaluations, reasonable suspicion checks, and random testing, in accordance with government regulations and company policies.

Requirements

No educational requirement.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
1–3 years of previous experience operating heavy equipment.
Proficient at an advanced level in operating the minimum equipment required for site operations, which may include a tipper, ADTs, compactors, small equipment such as skid steers, tractors, and water trucks, dozers, excavators, and wheel loaders.
A valid driver's license may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
Follow appropriate standard operating procedures when operating and maintaining vehicles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
