About The Position

PCSI is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at FT. SILL, OK. A Heavy Equipment Operator operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments. This position will report to the Roads & Cemetery Manager and is based at FT. SILL, OK. Typical work hours will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a minimum of four years’ recent and related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training on heavy equipment. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
  • Must Possess current Commercial Driver License (Class A or B), if required for the equipment and vehicles operated, and maintain a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Operates heavy equipment such as cranes, clamshells, power shovels, motor graders, heavy loaders, carryalls, bulldozers, rollers, scrapers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments.
  • May read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans. May grease, adjust and make emergency repairs to equipment.
  • Use equipment to excavate, load, or move dirt, gravel, or other materials.
