About The Position

WM is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to work at its waste disposal site in Charles City, Virginia. The role involves operating heavy equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders, in support of waste management and recycling operations. Operators work under strict safety procedures and are expected to follow company operating policies and standard procedures for equipment use and maintenance. The normal setting is a shop or field environment at a waste disposal site.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. The stated expected base pay is $21; the specific offer may depend on experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
• Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
• Follow applicable standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
