About The Position

Royal Electric Company is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for projects at Austin-Bergstrom International (AUS) Airport. The role supports the company’s electrical design, construction, and service work and emphasizes safety, attention to detail, collaboration, and meeting project deadlines. The operator will work 8–10 hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work. Applicants must be eligible for the airport badging process and authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment visas.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Experience with backhoes, excavators, skid steers, water trucks, and wheel loaders.
Experience in water, sewer, storm drain, or underground utility work.
General knowledge of confined-space entry, construction, complex pumping systems, and electrical work.
Competence and knowledge relating to OSHA excavation requirements.
Knowledge of construction stakes and grades.
Must be eligible for the airport badging process.
Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, skid steers, water trucks, and wheel loaders.
Perform daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections and maintain a daily log.

Apply knowledge of construction stakes and grades.
