About The Position
Bear General Contractors is seeking reliable, safety-minded Heavy Equipment Operators for a long-term opportunity with room for growth and advancement. This role will initially be employed through a staffing agency for the first six months, with a performance review to determine eligibility for direct employment with Bear General Contractors.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent vision (with corrective lenses if required).
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Solid understanding of safety practices and jobsite protocols.
Nice To Haves
- 3 years of construction experience.
- Working knowledge of a wide range of construction equipment, including well point systems, skid steers, excavators, dozers, backhoes, rollers, and more.
- Proven experience installing storm drain, sewer, and water utilities.
- Ability and willingness to perform manual labor as needed in addition to operating equipment.
