About The Position

Zachry Construction is seeking an experienced Loader Operator to safely and efficiently operate a loader for plant and general dirt work operations. The role moves and loads subgrade and roadway materials, supports production operations, and ensures work is performed safely and efficiently according to company standards. The position may also include additional duties assigned by the supervisor. Relocation may be required for ongoing opportunities and career growth.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including loaders.
• Proficiency in loader operation for material handling, subgrade work, and site preparation.
• Physical ability to perform assigned tasks, including walking on uneven terrain and climbing equipment ladders.
• Knowledge of general construction and equipment operation safety procedures.
• Dependability, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors to improve operational skills.
• Strong commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with other heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, or dozers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a loader to move, load, and distribute various subgrade and roadway materials.
• Support plant operations and general dirt work as assigned.
• Follow company and project safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections and report maintenance needs or equipment issues.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper functionality.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew members to coordinate material flow.
• Perform tasks requiring extended periods of sitting, walking, or standing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
