Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator – Loader for its College Park, Georgia asphalt plant. The role’s primary function is to operate a front-end loader safely and efficiently to move and load materials for asphalt production and aggregate operations in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications. The position reports to the Plant Manager. Although College Park is the designated home plant, employees may be assigned to other company asphalt plants in the Greater Atlanta area as operational needs require. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned work locations are required. The position requires prior experience operating heavy equipment in settings such as construction sites, quarries, asphalt plants, or aggregate yards; warehouse forklift experience alone does not meet the minimum qualifications. A high school diploma or equivalent is desired but not required. The role involves working outdoors around moving equipment and mechanical parts, with exposure to loud noise, dust, fumes, and weather extremes. Physical demands include occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds, using manual dexterity and strength to operate controls and handle tools or materials, and standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for extended periods. This is a full-time position. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, with hours listed as 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; schedules may include day or night shifts, long hours, and weekend work as business needs require. Some weekend hours may also be available. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour depending on experience, with a bonus opportunity. Benefits are offered after an applicable waiting period.
