About The Position

Interstate Waste Services is hiring an experienced Night Shift Excavator Operator for a union position in a transfer station environment. The role operates on a rotating schedule of four days on and three days off, followed by three days on and four days off. Pay is $24.33 per hour, paid weekly. Full benefits are available after 30 days. Boots, uniforms, and safety gear are provided.

The operator uses excavators and other heavy equipment to load transfer trailers, move and manage waste materials, and meet production goals while following safety procedures and site traffic patterns. The position also includes equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Work takes place outdoors and may involve varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of excavator or heavy equipment experience.
• Ability to work overnight shifts.

• At least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating yellow iron equipment.
• Experience in waste, landfill, demolition, construction, or recycling.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
