About The Position
Interstate Waste Services is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support landfill and transfer station operations. The operator uses heavy equipment to manage solid waste, load transfer trailers, and maintain safe and efficient site operations. Requirements
- At least 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
- Experience operating a dozer, loader, excavator, or other yellow iron equipment.
- Strong safety record and awareness.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Waste, landfill, construction, quarry, or aggregate experience preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Operate dozers, loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipment.
- Push, move, and manage solid waste materials safely and efficiently.
- Load transfer trailers to maximize productivity.
- Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Follow site safety procedures and traffic patterns.
- Maintain efficient landfill and transfer station operations.
