About The Position
Caton Construction Group is seeking qualified Excavator & Dozer Operators for their bridge/roadway project in Catawba County, North Carolina (Hickory). The heavy equipment operator operates a variety of contractor equipment and properly maintains the equipment on a daily basis. Starting pay is competitive and based on skills and experience. Employment is conditional on satisfactorily completing all pre-employment requirements including background and drug screen.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four years’ experience involving the use of medium and heavy equipment.
- Driver’s license is required.
Nice To Haves
- Valid CDL License.
Responsibilities
- Works with and assists in moving and grading dirt, digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work with a bulldozer, backhoe, road grader or front-end loader.
- Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
