About The Position

WM is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator II to work at a waste disposal site in Englewood, Colorado. The role operates heavy equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders, in support of the company’s waste management and recycling operations. Operators follow safety procedures, inspect and maintain equipment, keep accurate records, and move raw materials and finished components. The work setting may be a shop or field environment, with exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes. The listed schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays. The expected on-site base pay is $26.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and other factors.

Requirements

Three years of experience operating heavy equipment.
Be over 18 years of age.
Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Use motor coordination and finger dexterity for much of the workday.
Occasionally exert physical effort handling objects weighing less than 30 pounds.
Adhere to safety guidelines and work independently; communication and problem-solving skills are also described as qualities for success.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company operating safety policies and procedures.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
Follow standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
Perform other duties as assigned.
