About The Position
WM is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator II to work at its waste disposal site in Englewood, Colorado. The role involves operating heavy equipment, including bulldozers, scrapers, and front-end loaders, at a recycling or waste disposal facility. Operators work under strict safety procedures and contribute to the facility’s operations by moving materials, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and following operating procedures. The position is on-site and normally based in a shop or field environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with rotating Saturdays. The expected base pay is $26.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and other relevant factors. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate records.
- Move and position raw materials and finished components using material-moving equipment.
- Follow applicable standard operating procedures for operating and maintaining vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
