About The Position

This role involves operating plant production equipment, ensuring product quality, performing maintenance, and managing logistics related to raw material intake and finished product loading. The operator is responsible for safe operation, adherence to specifications, and accurate reporting.

Requirements

Performs all duties in a safe manner following company safety rules and policies.
Ability to operate front-end loader, vibratory feeder, flash dryer, roller mill, turbine classifier, dust collector, product conveying systems, and control systems.
Ability to operate raw material feed system.
Ability to retrieve production samples and ensure product meets customer specifications.
Proficiency in entering results into computer software.
Skill in servicing plant and mobile equipment.
Ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs.
Capability to prepare daily production reports, safety (MSHA) and environmental (IDEM) inspection forms.
Proficiency in housekeeping and clean-up of spillage.
Ability to disassemble/assemble plant equipment.
Skill in minor fabrication.
Ability to oversee loading of finished product into trucks.
Proficiency in utilizing automated scales and load out systems.
Strong communication skills for shift-to-shift handovers.
Ability to operate ship unloading system.
Skill in maintaining stockpile utilizing equipment.
Willingness to perform maintenance duties during outages and breakdowns.

Responsibilities

Operates plant production equipment including front-end loader, vibratory feeder, flash dryer, roller mill, turbine classifier, dust collector, product conveying systems, and control systems.
Initiates equipment adjustments during production to meet customer specifications.
Operates raw material feed system (front-end loader, loader hopper, bucket elevator, conveyor, PLC).
Retrieves production samples from each mill to ensure product meets customer specifications.
Enters production results into computer software.
Services plant and mobile equipment, and performs minor maintenance and repairs.
Prepares daily production reports, safety (MSHA) and environmental (IDEM) inspection forms.
Performs miscellaneous plant operational duties such as housekeeping, clean-up of spillage, equipment disassembly/assembly, and minor fabrication.
Oversees loading of finished product into trucks, including bulk trucks and utilizing automated scales and load out systems.
Communicates shift-to-shift information regarding production, concerns, and changes.
Operates ship unloading system to unload raw limestone.
Maintains stockpile utilizing equipment.
Performs maintenance duties to support maintenance staff during major plant outages and breakdowns.
Performs other duties assigned by management.
