About The Position

TIC is looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Foreman for their project located in Seminole, TX. This role requires an experienced individual to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment, including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems. The position involves working independently or with industry specialists to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with production machinery, ensuring it remains in running condition and minimizing downtime through effective preventative maintenance procedures. The Foreman will also communicate machine issues to production management, work with machine operators to ensure safe and proper machine operation, and inspect subordinate's work for compliance with contract plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Must be able to maintain, diagnose, and repair all types of heavy construction equipment including hydraulic, electric, and power train systems.
  • Experience working with the following equipment: Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi.
  • Experience working with the following diagnostic systems: CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop.
  • Must have required tools.
  • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required.
  • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical and non DOT physical test.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently or with industry specialists to trouble shoot/diagnose problems with production machinery.
  • Set-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down production machinery.
  • Keep designated machinery in running condition.
  • Minimize down time through effective PM procedures and management.
  • Troubleshoot machinery errors during production times.
  • Communicate issues with machines to production management when necessary.
  • Work with Machine Operators to ensure machines are running safely and properly.
  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
