About The Position

PROtect, LLC provides safety and compliance solutions to help businesses protect their people, assets, and the environment. The company is seeking a Heat Treat Technician to perform heat treatment services on industrial components in accordance with customer specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves operating field heat treatment equipment and working in industrial settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of metallurgy, welding processes, and industrial safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in extreme temperatures or confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in heat treatment, industrial heating, or related fields.
• Familiarity with heat treatment methods, including resistance and induction heating.
• Technical certifications in heat treatment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate heat treatment equipment to meet required specifications.
• Monitor and adjust temperature controls, heating elements, and treatment cycles.
• Perform on-site heat treatment services, including preheat, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), and stress relieving.
• Document treatment parameters and results.
• Inspect workpieces for defects or irregularities before and after treatment.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot heat treatment equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and customers to ensure job requirements are met.
