2nd shift Heat Treat Operator $17-$23 Depending on Experince
About The Position
The Heat Treat Operator performs a variety of operational functions that constitute the production, inspection, and distribution of products or services for our customers. This role involves operating a semi-automated furnace for heat-treating high-pressure cylinders, working in a hot environment, and reacting quickly to correct problems with automated material handling equipment. The operator will follow heat treat operating procedures, monitor furnace operations, identify cylinders, and stamp heat lot codes. This position also requires the ability to perform and relieve other furnace operation roles.
Requirements
- Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
- Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
- Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
- Ability to use machinery/equipment required to accomplish a given job assignment.
- Ability to work effectively, courteously and respectively with co-workers and other personnel.

Responsibilities
- Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.

- Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.
- Operates a semi-automated furnace for heat-treating high-pressure cylinders.
- Works in a hot environment.
- Reacts quickly to correct problems with automated material handling equipment.
- Follows heat treat operating procedures and monitors that the furnace is operating.
- Identifies cylinders and stamps heat lot codes on heat treated cylinders.
- Performs and relieves Furnace Load Operator, Furnace Operator and Furnace Off-load Operator.
