2nd Shift Goss Inspector $17-$23 Depending on Experience
About The Position
To perform a variety of operational functions that constitutes the production, inspection and distribution of products or services for our customers. This role involves performing assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures, adhering to the Quality Policy and ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions. The position requires compliance with work rules and standards, maintaining good housekeeping, and displaying appropriate work ethics. The Goss Inspector refers to work orders or procedural instructions before commencing work and performs specified quality assurance checks, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions, and requirements. The role also requires demonstrating the ability to meet production standards within a reasonable time.
Requirements
- Must possess an education or experience level that permits the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the documents relating to the job, function or assignment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical equations.
- Ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems.
- Ability to deal with a variety of job assignments.
- Ability to use machinery/equipment required to accomplish a given job assignment.

Responsibilities
- Performs assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Adheres to the Quality Policy, including all items assigned to this position in accordance with ISO policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Complies with the work rules and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
- Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group settings which provides a positive work environment with co-workers.
- Refers to work order or procedural instructions appropriate for each job, function or assignment before commencing work.
- Performs any specified quality assurance checks designated for each job, function or assignment.
- Assures that all work assigned to position is performed in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within a reasonable time, depending on the degree of difficulty of their job functions.
- Working knowledge of gauges used in Goss inspection
- Ability to identify flaws in cylinders
- Ability to complete written reports
- Knowledge of equipment set-up procedures.
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested for successful completion of the mission of Norris Cylinder.
