About The Position

Texas Health Physicians Group is hiring a full-time Cardiovascular Acute Care/Adult Care Nurse Practitioner to join a team of diagnostic, interventional, and non-interventional cardiologists in Plano, Texas. The role involves working closely with board-certified physicians to diagnose and provide innovative treatments for cardiovascular diseases. The position is 40 hours per week and includes shared Saturday coverage two days per month. Responsibilities include hospital and ICU rounding, clinical management of patients, and assessing new consults in the clinic and hospital. Nuclear studies, stress tests, and echocardiograms are available on site. The team offers a multidimensional approach to cardiac and peripheral vascular therapies.

Requirements

• Active Texas license.
• Acute Care/Adult Care board certification and experience.
• Degree in nurse practitioner studies from an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies required, as listed in the Education section.
• Physician Assistant experience: one year preferred, as listed in the Experience section.
• Physician Assistant certification must be maintained as required for licensure; required upon hire.
• Skills in active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, and judgment and decision making.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of cardiology experience preferred.
