About The Position

NationsBenefits is hiring a Hearing Instrument Specialist/Audiologist for its Nations Benefits Hearing Center in Lawton, Oklahoma. The role evaluates hearing aid candidacy, recommends and fits hearing aids, and builds lasting patient relationships through education, follow-up care, and community engagement. The position is based in a retail clinical environment that combines professional autonomy with operational support.

The specialist provides individualized hearing care, including comprehensive evaluations, hearing instrument programming and fitting, verification, follow-up services, and repairs. The role also maintains compliant patient records and supports patient satisfaction and center performance.

Requirements

• Current Audiology license or Hearing Aid Dispensing license in the state of the role is required.
• Strong clinical, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, patient-friendly manner.
• Comfort working in a retail healthcare setting.
• Commitment to ethical practice and patient-focused care.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations using best-practice clinical protocols.
• Interpret test results and recommend individualized hearing care solutions based on patients’ needs and lifestyles.
• Present product options clearly, emphasizing value, long-term benefits, and patient outcomes.
• Program, fit, and verify hearing instruments, including premium technology from major manufacturers.
• Perform routine follow-up visits, cleanings, adjustments, and hearing aid repairs.
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient records, including documentation and outcome measures.
• Deliver service that supports patient satisfaction, loyalty, and positive clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership and peers to support center performance and continuous improvement.
• Build lasting patient relationships through education, follow-up care, and community engagement.
