About The Position

The Systems Analyst II supports the build, maintenance, break/fix, and optimization of assigned applications under the leadership of the HIT Applications Manager. The role collaborates with application analysts, Clinical Informatics, Instructional Designers, and users to maintain and optimize Montage Health’s electronic health record. The position is remote-local: the employee must reside in California, work primarily from home, and live within commuting distance of the Monterey, California work location. The analyst develops expertise in assigned applications and related clinical, technical, and operational workflows; develops, tests, validates, and maintains Epic applications; and uses clinical background and subject matter expertise to build and support applications. The role supports users during implementations, updates, and releases; gathers requirements; evaluates workflows; oversees upgrades and service updates; and validates changes before implementation. The analyst also serves as project lead for complex projects and participates in an assigned on-call rotation. This is a regular, full-time, exempt position. The listed annual salary range is $108,825 to $145,579, based on applicable experience. The posting also lists a pay range of $56.40 to $75.44.

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, informatics, education, business, or information systems, or equivalent experience.
Existing Epic certification in Epic Healthy Planet and Compass Rose Analytics/Clinical Build.
Epic certification is required within 90 days of course completion and as required to support new versions.
Must reside in California and live within commuting distance of the Monterey, California work location.

Nice To Haves

Three years of related Healthy Planet or Ambulatory experience.
Epic software knowledge.
Experience with IT issue-tracking or ticketing systems, such as ServiceNow.
Additional Epic certification in one or more of the following: EpicCare Ambulatory, Cogito, Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, Clinical Data Model, or Value-Based Analytics.

Responsibilities

Master assigned applications and applied clinical, technical, and operational workflows.
Develop, test, validate, and maintain Epic applications.
Use clinical background and subject matter expertise to build and support applications.
Promote understanding, integration, and application of information technology in healthcare settings.
Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of complex clinical, technical, and operational workflows to optimize assigned applications.
Support end users during software implementations, updates, and new-version releases, and document project issues.
Complete application testing and workflow validation before implementing changes in all environments.
Gather end-user requirements and evaluate complicated workflows by working directly with end users.
Oversee implementation of upgrades and service updates.
Participate in an assigned on-call coverage rotation.
Follow team standard operating procedures, policies, and organizational standard templates.
Lead complex projects associated with assigned applications.
Maintain customer-service focus and responsiveness.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and troubleshoot technical problems.
Master HIT tools, applications, and processes; maintain fluency in HIT and industry best practices, tools, applications, certifications, and processes.
Follow departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
