About The Position

As a HealthMarket Clerk at Hy-Vee, you help maintain fresh products, keep the department clean and well-stocked, and provide customers with a welcoming, helpful experience. The role involves customer service, product replenishment and rotation, checking in and putting away product, maintaining sanitation, and working with teammates in a busy department. Training and support are provided; prior experience is not required. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

Follow written and verbal instructions.
Use basic math for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
Communicate clearly and helpfully with customers and teammates.
Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy department.
Less than a high school diploma or equivalent experience is accepted.
Complete a pre-employment drug screen successfully.

Nice To Haves

Up to six months of similar or related work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service throughout the store.
Help customers find products, reach items, carry heavy purchases, and relay feedback or requests to the team.
Suggest products and answer customer questions.
Help customers locate and access homeopathic and natural wellness products without providing medical instruction or advice on product use.
Monitor product freshness and appearance; replenish and rotate products as needed.
Anticipate daily product needs and follow or develop a production list.
Check in products, put products away, and review invoices as needed.
Follow sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
Remove trash promptly and maintain a tidy department.
Work with teammates to provide a smooth, positive customer experience.
Follow the dress code, hygiene standards, and company policies.
Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
